My favourite piece of technology

First thing to say is that I’m not a very technological person; I actually find it pretty dull so I reduce its use to a minimum. Anyways, the only piece of technology I actually really enjoy is my Play Station 3, I like it because of a number of reasons but one of the main ones is because I bought it with money I worked for. So every day when I got up to work I told myself “you’re one step closer to getting it, don’t give up”. So after a couple months of hard work I got enough money to buy it.

Truth is, I don’t play a lot; I probably play a couple hours a week, mainly because I do a lot of things inside and outside of college so I don’t have a lot of spare time. Anyway, I find it very relaxing when I can play because it’s the moment when I can stop thinking and just drift in the moment.

The best concerts...

As I said before I’m, a big metalhead, so decide which the best concert I have ever attended is is a very difficult task, I have seen many legendary bands/singers like Bob Dylan, Eric Clapton, Scorpions, Pearl Jam, Kiss, Marilyn Manson, Slayer, Roger Water, Megadeth, Lamb of God and even Rush. I loved every second of them and I banged my head and moshipitted until my body couldn’t move for a couple days.

But in my concert life there are two epic moments: the first one was Metallica’s concert on 2010 on Club Hípico. What made this concert so especial, apart obviously from being fucking Metallica, is that at that time I was working in Temuco and I had to come to Santiago for the concert, so I took a bus that was rented by other metalheads to come to Santiago. So we drinked and played and singed, for the eight hours that took the bus to come to Santiago. Then I got my head blown by Metallica with a killer set list, I could jump over the fence to the “Cancha Vip” so over the end of the show I was in front line, seeing Hammet and Hetfield ripping their guitars off. Finally after a lifechanging show I took the bus back with the headbangers, discussing, singing and drinking all night long.

The other epic concert moment was actually a weekend: on Saturday 9th of april 2011 I went to see Motörhead. The concert was mindblowing ,Lemmy killed that bass. They where recording a live DVD so the show and the crowed couldn’t been better, we moshpited for almost three hours, it was amazing. Then the next day, Sunday 10th of april 2011 I went to see Iron Maiden, they recorded there the legendary DVD “En Vivo!” and they didn’t have the infamous “Cancha Bip” so we got hour minds blown by Harris, Dickinson and company in an amazing show that went over their new record but that also included all the classics.

In sum, I see myself as a very lucky guy I’ve seen over 50 bands lives, some like Megadeth, Korn, or Black Label Society more than once.

About me

Hi, my name is Juan Manuel Ochoa Sambrizzi, but everyone calls me Manu. Im  25 years old and I was born in Argentina, but I came here to Chile with my family when I was about 5 or 6 years-old because my dad won a scholarship to do his PhD in Universidad Católica. After several years here, my dad decided that it was time to do his Post-PhD, so we went to live for a little more than a year to Illinois, USA.

When we returned to Chile, my parents put us, my brother and I, in a bilingual school so we could keep practicing the language. After I finished school I entered to study economy, but that was not my thing so after a couple years of trying I decided to quit it and enter psychology. Here I met the love of my life we moved together after a couple months, and now I can say that Im happily married for over two years. We live in a flat close to college and we have two cats: Pancho and Pelusa, they are pretty funny and cute, running around all day long.

About me I can say that Im in love with knowledge, I study a lot, I read a lot, and I do a lot of stuff outside college. I also love soccer, I love practicing it. Finally, Im also a metalhead so everytime I have the chance to bang my head to an amazing riff, I dont think it twice and I go to the concert.
